OUR STORY
Bob, Jane, Carla and Roy – also known as Roberto, Janie, Carlita and Roy – came together as partners in 2014 on a quest to find the perfect location to make their wine and spirit store dream come true.
This Krewe had no retail or wine sales experience, but they had passion, love and determination. And, one year later, on Bastille Day 2015, Grande Krewe Fine Wine & Spirits was born!
Meet the Krewe
Jane
Jane (aka Janie) has called New Orleans home since the 1980’s. Before embracing the wine and spirits life, she ran a national healthcare company, which is how she met Bob, the love of her life. When not at Grande Krewe, you’ll find her planning and attending trips to France, mentoring entrepreneurs, or volunteering for FQMD.
Bob
Bob (aka Roberto) relocated to New Orleans from Wisconsin in 2012. His dream of opening a wine and spirits store became a reality in 2015, when he opened Grande Krewe with Janie and Deuce, the wonder dog. Pearl joined the family and the store in 2016.
Carla
Carla ‘Carlita’ Arriola, a native resident of New Orleans, is a self-proclaimed Wellness Entrepreneur. Carlita creates many ‘good-for-you’ and ‘good to you’ experiences through a 24-year Pilates teacher practice, Health Coaching, Premium Skincare AND….Fine Wine and Spirits! Her obsession with small grower champagne has intensified through the PHENOMENAL selection curated by the Krewe.
Roy
Roy Arriola is a native New Orleanian from the historic Treme neighborhood. A 28-year public servant, Roy has served the city he loves with the New Orleans Fire Department. Since opening Grande Krewe in 2015 with his partners, Roy enjoys sharing all the amazing small batch spirits, champagne, and beautiful wines from all over the world with store customers. And…he is a LOVER of fine Bourbons and big bold red wines!
Dane
Born and raised in New Orleans, Dane is a graduate of Jesuit and LSU. After more than a decade cooking in restaurants - most notably Commander’s Palace - he moved on from a culinary career to become a Certified Sommelier and an Executive Bourbon Steward, pursuing his love of learning, fine wine, & spirits. He brings a decade of experience in purchasing and education to Grande Krewe as General Manager.
Eddie
Eddie is originally from Chicago but has called New Orleans home since 2016. He loves to travel and has been to wine regions in Spain, France, and Chile. His favorite thing is sharing great wine with the neighbors, friends, and customers who make the Marigny feel like home.
Pierre
Pierre is the newest addition to Grande Krewe! This spirited pup brings joy to everyone he encounters. Though he may not have Deuce's years, his playful energy and curiosity light up the store. With a penchant for adventure, Pierre has a special love for exploring all things French, especially a fine red Burgundy.
Pearl
Pearl (the Black Pearl) is the spirit of Grande Krewe and she is always doing something. She has a popular instagram site (@pearlatgrandekrewe) that lets everyone know what she is up to. Champagne is her jam.
