Description: Ferrari-Carano’s unique, white wine blend, the 2012 Bella Luce, means “beautiful light” in Italian. Bella Luce is a fragrant and light wine composed of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Muscat Canelli. The wine does not undergo malolactic fermentation resulting in a refreshing acidity that is made from varieties that complement one another in aromas, flavors and texture.
Taste Notes: Bella Luce has delicious layers of Muscat, honeydew, orange, lychee, pineapple, peach and apple, along with lingering cream, vanilla, lemon and a floral finish. The wine works well as an apéritif, or with shellfish, light pasta dishes, and light appetizers.
Description: The philosophy for the Fuse Cabernet Sauvignon (made by Signorello Vineyards.) is to take the traditions of the 'Old World' style and give it a little 'New World' twist by adding Syrah. This medium-bodied wine will continue to improve over the next 8 years and is wonderfully drinkable now.
Taste Notes: The nose expresses a combination of sweet cherry, blueberry, hints of vanilla and earthy undertones. On the palate, layers of cherry and blueberry are balanced with delicate notes of nutmeg and vanilla.
Description: From Lionel Osmin et Cie comes a rose wine of the Négrette grape. Négrette is one of the best southwestern French grapes to produce rosé wines. A native variety mainly planted north of Toulouse, Osmin gave this wine a name that pays homage to the famous "Pink City". Its pale and delicate color, its fruity style, expressive and its characteristic freshness make this a versatile and lively rosé wine.
Taste Notes: A fruit forward nose of red berries and light candied strawberry gives way to a delicate and well-balanced minerality with notes of ripe strawberry. Pairs best with aperitifs, fresh tapas, tomato with mozzarella, Asian food, tomato dishes, grilled fish, pasta Bolognese.
Description: Inspired by the golden hills that frame our San Bernabe Vineyard, the name Diora is adopted from the word D'or - meaning "golden". Aged 10 months in French Oak the fruit from Block 202 of San Bernabe Vineyard’s carries a silky elegance and excellent structure.
Taste Notes: Ripe red fruit with balanced acidity, high alcohol at 14.5%, but mild baking spice notes keep this wine expressively intense and well suited to pair with food. Great with sweet barbeque sauce basted pork ribs or wild mushrooms and truffle oil pizza.
Description: Wish Red Blend was created with pleasure and enjoyment in mind. Due to the blending process the fruit is well integrated and balanced with its structural components. Mature flavors are a clear indication that this wine is ready to drink. 26% Cabernet Sauvignon - 24% Merlot - 33% Zinfandel - 17% Syrah.
Taste Notes: A big nose is followed by a pronounced boysenberry, Asian plum and black currant fruit presence on the palate. Medium high alcohol content and a medium finish lend to drinkability. Try with Teriyaki steak or plum sauce based Chinese cuisine.
Description: Clay and limestone soils, rough-textures, formed from the decomposition of the mother rock from the surrounding mountains, and steel tanking keep this rose blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cinsault, Grenache, and Syrah firmly settled in the Provence tradition.
Taste Notes: A true Provencal rose with a medium deep color and noticeable pink fruit notes of grapefruit and blood orange. A light spiced cherry not clings to the palate through the lingering finish. Pair with grilled salmon or even fried chicken.
Description: David Swift Phinney established Orin Swift after a grueling season as a temporary harvest worker at Robert Mondavi Vineyards. Deciding that if he was going to work that hard he would be his own boss he set out to establish a winery with a little over two tons of zinfandel and now has over 300 acres in Southwest France and projects in several other countries.
Taste Notes: An opaque, purple chroma is brilliantly on display in the glass. An alluring fragrance of bright floral notes, violet juxtaposed with intriguing mountain characteristics. The entry is big, dark, and brooding with concentrated berry flavors, black cherry, mocha, and delightful earthy, brambly notes. Soft and lush, the tannins are sublime which offsets a pleasing mineral finish. Try with a ribeye and garlic sautéed mushrooms.
Description: A 90 Hectare vineyard separated over 60 different plots leads to a heavily variegated group of terroirs. The vines are grown without pesticides or insecticides and manure is natural. The land is worked without herbicide to maintain ventilation and flexibility to the soil. Father and son, Aime and Christophe, create this blend of 70% Grenache and 30% Syrah with the same attention and care as their stunning Chateauneuf Du Papes.
Taste Notes: The latest creation in the estate is a fruity, fresh and light wine, ideal as an aperitif.
Description: Jamieson Ranch Vineyards is the southernmost winery in the Napa Valley, one of the world’s foremost winemaking regions. The estate’s more than 300 acres of gently rolling hills and terraced vineyards benefit from the cooling fog and breezes from the nearby San Pablo Bay. In June of 2014, Bill Leigon, who had joined Jamieson Ranch as President in 2013, named Juan Jose Winemaker at Jamieson Ranch Vineyards.
Taste Notes: Classic Napa Valley aromas jump out of the glass with this expressive cabernet. Notes of anise, currant, and toasted walnuts on the nose complement the lusciously fruit forward palate and voluminous mouthfeel. Rich black cherry and leather reflect the terroir, with integrated and deep oak tannins reflecting the influence of exceptional French Oak barrels. A lengthy finish completes this wine. Perfect for the biggest flavors on your plate.
Description: Loosely translated, Loca Linda means “crazy in a good way.” The same could be said for the winemaking philosophy of Brooklyn born owner Brian Smith and his wife Gina – despite the naysayers, they’ve found a way to produce a high-quality, expressive, handcrafted wine at an approachable price point.
Taste Notes: This wine has an unmistakable spring-like nose resembling roses, star fruit, and honeysuckle. Primal on the palate it is crisp, bright and clean. Perfect with light fish or as an aperitif.
